I am going to a bbq and music festival this weekend in Bristol and there is a burrito eating competition there. It's a 5lb burrito that you have 55mins to finish it in and you get a t-shirt and your money back if you do.

Now......being a larger lass I like my food so was considering trying it. Any tips on how to attack it?

you need some side orders to mix up the flavour and make it easier to eat, something with lemon in works well

See I watch man v food

My lad said he cut it into pieces and pretty much attacked the filling first as the wrap fills you up...good luck.

only eat grapes prior to attempting this .. most people who have completed the challenge have done it in 12 minutes or less .. try that as your target as I don't think any one has completed it taking any longer as your body starts to realise you are full .. best of luck and enjoy !

A 5lb burrito, containing beef, beans and cheese would represent approximately 4,400 calories and around 198g of fat.

Thats scary!

No offence intended, but does anybody else not find competitive eating a little bit wrong?

Surely the purpose of eating is for pleasure and sustinence?

I don't see the point in forcing food down if full.

I don't like it either. I think it's mad, same as competitive drinking.

I also think really extreme exercise such as people running marathons when they aren't prepared, or jumping frozen lakes and swimming is mad too.
