Would someone’s past partners put you off them in either a vanilla or swinging life?

Maybe it’s someone you know or know of, or do you take people as you find them?

The only time this would be an issue for me would if they had been with one of the very very few people I actively, intensely dislike.

Nah, i won't mind what happen in the past, however ...

I may draw the line if I was to meet someone that is close to my ex though. I'm not even gonna go there

Yes they would/could. Or make me a bit less interested.

They shouldn't, but yes they do.

I've not met guys before based on who they've met, a feeling of I'd be a disappointment compared to them. I prefer people to not display verifications, ignorance is bliss!

Yes, in a vanilla life for sure. If they've been with a friend previously then it would probably put me off or stop me going there. On Fab, not so much, unless who they have been with raises alarm bells to me.

It's one of the only reasons I look at verifications and follow the trail.

I've ignored my instincts a couple of times since joining fab and got dragged into someone else's drama.

That changed my whole outlook and as such I tend to join the dots now.

The slightest hint of a link to anyone I know to be involved in creating drama would put me off.

I've said many times that this is not a lifestyle choice and has never been anything more than a hobby so I'm never going to be compatible with those who have had a lot more sexual partners than my single digit.

In general though, numbers don't bother me but certain individuals do.

Away from fab I've never had to consider any of this.

Actually I tell a lie, there are a few unforgivable live choices.

In real life I’d not date or go with any of my friends ex partners.

On fab, my meets are private & my business, that’s why they’re hidden. I do look at others veris & pictures of the people they have been with, but tend to make my own judgement on how they treat me & if we get on.

My wife used to date my best friend before we met.

He regretted giving me her number when he moved away to live in wales and we all lost touch.

After two years he got in touch and said he wished we could remain friends

We arranged a motorcycle trip abroad and I asked if he would mind if I brought my wife, his ex.

He said that would be ok

We are off on Wednesday for a week in a three bed apartment together

I echo this but I’d still rather see the veris. Maybe my own worst enemy.

Shit happens. The people you thought you knew at the time turn out to be something else entirely. I wouldn't sleep with a couple of the people I have previously if I'd known then what I know now. I don't imagine most people have a spotless history of only excellent former partners that they'd happily return to in a heartbeat.

Who someone is currently seeing may be relevant to me. Who they've fucked previously is not really something I worry about, unless there's a clear demonstration of alarming trends 💜

Yes. A woman's provenance is a key indicator for me on whether I would take things further, or not. Verifications only tell me half the story — I like to ask outright.

Unless they are criminal gangster liable to shoot me for holding their hand, no.

Swinging or vanilla it shouldn't really matter, if someone is finding fault with me for the people I've slept with, I could probably find 10x the number of faults with their ex partners, it's a pretty ugly trait for me.

Just reading replies ... I can't believe people are still so keen on veris being a CV of your fab life. Do people not delete their accounts any more, do people show all of them, are greedy, dogging, gangbangs, party and Euro holiday meets automatically added now?

I wouldn't date someone who was a friend's ex, or an ex's friend.

Otherwise, it doesn't bother me so much unless they were engaging in risky behaviour, that would put me off.

If they had been with someone I *really* didn't like I may ask them about it. There's people I have had sex with in the past that I wouldn't have sex with now, because they hid their true colours at the time or their behaviour changed etc. So just because I've had sex with someone in the past, doesn't mean I would now, or that I might condone their actions carte blanche, or that I even like them anymore! I might think they're a total prick. So I extend that courtesy to others. People change, and can change their minds.

Totally... You are what you eat! 😉😜

But seriously, yes. People do in fact read profile bios and they will message me claiming we have same likes and wants. But it's just a sales pitch 🤠

Past partners (on or off fab) and their personal choices are clear indicators of their preferences. I'm a big believer in actions speaking louder than words.

One of a certain 'type' of person or activity would be an exception/mistake or experiment/learning curve, but many repeats of similar 'types' and behaviour would simply be a pattern and a clear indicator of where their true interest lies.

It helps guide me to swerve who I personally consider undesirables, and say a polite thanks but no thank you.

I take people as I find them.

I enjoy conversations about past relationships and sexual encounters, with partners, though. Anything that enriches my understanding of a partner, is enjoyable.

I love talking about past fun. Less about the who than the what/how. Can be really helpful and really fun.

Chatting about bucket lists and things we've tried and enjoyed, or not. Things that were funny... we all have funny sexcapades to share! And things we want more of. It's a part of discovering eachother that I love.
