The ‘boomer’ generation are actually far more likely to have been victims of that behaviour than perpetrators.

Going into W H Smith’s, opening up a newspaper and hiding a copy of Men Only in the middle and taking it to the till and just paying for the paper. We used to have the correct money, about 10p, and give it straight to the “girl” because she didn’t have to take the paper and scan it.
