"He ticks every box except for two big ones, he hasn't won anything and lacks European experience. " While I'll agree that Moyes has done a pretty reasonable job at EFC, he doesn't tick every box for United as you proclaim. In addition to what you have stated, I'd add these areas of doubt over Moyes: 1) While his track record of buying players normally from lower league clubs has been pretty good, albeit with some that failed too, Tim Cahill oft being cited as an example of a great buy, but also cleverly getting more out of ex Man U players like Phil Neville, he has yet to be tested with the really big names in football and thier egos and also when having a transfer kitty that for one player alone can be around £30 million, it'll be interesting as to how good he is in the transfer market at that type of level and which players he picks. 2) Although this will be true of any manager taking over at OT, it will be interesting to see how Moyes copes with the pressures of the job. He may well adapt to it fairly easily and look and act comfortably in the role, and he may yet be a round peg in a square hole, time will tell on that. 3) Moyes will have a fair bit of rebuilding to do at OT in the not too distant future. Rooney already wants out, Giggs & Scholes are at the end of thier careers and Ferdinand and Vidic aren't too far behind. While United clearly had a strategy for replacement under Fergie, how Moyes embraces this will possibly disrupt United's success levels for the future.

"I hope that's the demise of " Scumchester. Ushited. " And here come the haters " This doesn't happen just for Man U on here....you can see people trying to wind each other up over football all the time, although people should really be careful as they may come unstuck

Are any of the points you've raised any different to what Sir Alex, Wenger or Mourinio faced on their first big moves?
