Inspired by a conversation, is laughter an important part of your sex life ?

Do you appreciate the absurd in the amorous ? The humour in the horn ?

Does a giggle ease the nerves or is it off-putting, even a passion killer ?

I think it’s important to have some laughter

But in context

If I was to remove my clothes and they laughed at me or my body then I’d melt and leave

But, sex shouldn’t be always serious, sometimes the human body will do what it wants and not as you’d want so laughter helps

I love a man who can laugh me into bed, a sense of humour is really important to me. Altho like Biker Jack said if I get my kit off and he laughs that would deffo kill the mood, also being tickled, I hate being tickled!

100% yes. Alongside all the usual: intense, orgasmic, passionate, etc. sex is also funny. If you feel so at peace that you can approach it with a touch of levity and lightness, and laugh… that’s the best

I am quite the giggler, it's mostly involuntary and I can't stop it. It absolutely means I'm having a good time, though some men don't seem to like it as they think I'm laughing *at* them which is absolutely not the case. The more I try to stop, the harder it is! Even with the threat of "punishment" I can't stop it and sometimes it gets worse! I smile too much 🫣 especially when I'm nervous. But for me sex should be fun and I don't take it too seriously.

If you don't like so_eone who giggles a lot then I'm absolutely not for you!

Without a doubt. Sex isn't a serious affair, if you can't laugh at so_eone's ankle wrapped around their head, so_eone tripping over their underwear as they're ripping them off too fast or getting a cramp - you must be a bit too self absorbed?

If a man can’t make me laugh or laugh at himself then it’s not happening, when you can both laugh together at the same thing even when words aren’t needed then we will get on, the dryer more sarcastic the better.

All situational I presume. It can elevate it sometimes, if you can giggle at the funny moments it shows you’re confident enough in yourself and the person you’re with in my opinion. It shows a level of trust and understanding. I think it takes away awkwardness! But as first stated, it all depends when the giggles start 🤣

It can be all of those things - a nerve easer, a relaxed shared intimacy, a passion killer. Endearing, comfortable, libido destroyer.

People who can find the absurdity in life, themselves and me make me happy. But like with everything in life there's a balance to be had.

I enjoy when sex is fluid. People are, our time together is. Primal moments blend seamlessly with the more lighthearted, lust is playfully expressed and at other times there's that intense chemistry where words and laughter aren't present.

It's always easier with a regular partner, at least in my experience, as we are more tuned into each others humour.

It can be more challenging trying to read a new lover and lots of us try to hard in that situation, I definitely cringe at some humour that didn't land.🤦

"

I'm not even laughing at anything they've said or jokes they've made. It's more just like... Bashfulness? Shyness? Nervous energy? Sometimes it's an evil cackle of satisfaction.

I giggle during impact play which some take as me being facetious and bratty like I'm challenging them "ha is that all you've got" and it's absolutely not the reason I'm giggling. Usually I'm trying *not* to giggle. It's more me involuntarily going "omg that hurt, owww hahaha this is making me nervous and I don't know how to express it, except though giggling" 🫣

If I'm edging so_eone and I can see they are struggling and I'm enjoying it, I do what has been described as my "mean and evil cackle". My inner sadist likes making people squirm and suffer, and I will do a little self satisfied chuckle to myself.

If I'm being fucked hard and I'm enjoying it and want more I will do my "yes this is fucking amazing give me more" giggle tinged with animalistic hunger.

It all just comes out of me naturally and I don't have much control over it 🤷🏻‍♀️ I guess it's just how my brain processes a multitude of feelings. By giggling!

I had a fit of giggles during a very intense session where he relentlessly brought me to orgasm again and again. The giggling was involuntary and just a response to the intensity of the session.

We both laughed about it whilst we cuddled afterwards. He totally understood what had happened and loved my response and uses it to tease me now with the threat of making me giggle again!

You what it really depends on the vibe/mood and who it is. Genrally we don't take things too seriously. Sometimes we can just have really care free silly sex with lots of laughter together or with so_eone else. Sometimes the vibe/dynamic is different and it's off putting. Not so much between us as a couple but with other people it can be off putting (depending on the person/chemistry).

Not just humour but talking too. We had a guy a few weeks ago. It was naughty and all going well but then just kept saying cringy things. Told him that wasn't working for us and can we just keep the talk to practical points. Obviously it's his 3some too and has every right to take that on board or not. However he did not take that on board (which is completely his perogative) and thus we had to stop because it had become completely off putting. Yet other situation with different people silliness, laughter or talk has been great.

So it really does depend on the specific people, chemistry and situation.

Humour and laughter is an absolute must. There has to be the fun side and ability to make me laugh before we even embark on the more intimate activities. Laughing in the midst is the ultimate … fucking for England, laughing at a fanny fart then fucking away again. Definitely how I like it.

It's not essential. I can think of several scenarios where it would be positive and several where it might be a mood-killer.

Laughter can totally get me into bed, and it’s magic when you’re both comfy enough to laugh during, too.

As for it being a mood killer…

Well, once, right at the moment of orgasm, so_eone had a full-on uncontrollable belly laugh. Went on for ages. The reason?

Apparently, my sex face.

"Inspired by a conversation, is laughter an important part of your sex life ?

Do you appreciate the absurd in the amorous ? The humour in the horn ?

Does a giggle ease the nerves or is it off-putting, even a passion killer ?

"

A sense of fun is very important to me.

It is important to be able to laugh together, unexpected things happen in sex and I would rather laugh about them then feel awkward or embarrassed 😉

Context is rather important. Laughing together or at? What caused it in the first place? Overall I think laughing together can be great.

here there and everywhere

I love to be able to laugh together at certain moments… embarrassing and silly stuff happens during sex… if you can’t laugh, you aren’t with the right person in my opinion

Humour is definitely important. To be honest I wouldn't be naked with anyone if we haven't already shared our most ridiculous jokes & sarcastic remarks in the build up to a meet
