I remember mine, I was 14. Went to the cinema, bad choice, because we didn't connect or listen to one another for 3 hours due to watching Harry Potter. And agreed there was nothing further there.

My first date was a fairground when I was 13. We raided our parents' alcohol stash before we went 🤣🤣

Haha very similar I think, was probably around 14 and went to the cinema and then pizza hut. Fuck knows what we went to watch tho, slept since then pizza hut was the place to go when I was in my early teens. Birthdays, dates, hanging out with mates.

What did you enjoy more? The smooching or the movie?

Didn’t really watch the movie 😬 Did watch it months after when it came out for rental - was alright.

I was a proper late bloomer, didn't date until 23. ( had a sort of gf a 15 but lasted a week but wasn't interested as always training)

Met girl new years eve in Liverpool, then went on a date a couple of weeks later. I was a proper nerdy gimp as took her to the walker gallery in Liverpool (my church) then for a meal and movie.

Cinema also, can’t remember the name of the film but it had Eric Cantona in and it was awful.

I wore a David Bowie T-shirt, denim skirt, fishnets and Dr Martens. Thought I was the coolest bitch around and the poor guy looked terrified 🤣

If it was Le bonheur est dans le pré, then yes - it was shit.

I remember going to see it and there was this couple in front of me that were clearly on a first date.

He looked terrified.

I saw Romeo and Juliet in Leicester Square and had a mooch around London after.

He paid and I was uncomfortable about it. I remember sticking 8 pound coins onto a piece of card and sending it to him afterwards.

It never occurred to me at the time his parents likely gave him the money!😆

Remember when we had phones with no photo capabilities? I'd had a random message from an unknown number and we got texting from there. No idea what each other looked like. I was probably 17. Things got flirty and we set a date in a town centre pub and he travelled over from Leicester. He was pretty fit when he turned up! He didn't drink and I had a couple to ease my nerves so the dynamic was off though. I was crazy nervous as I hadn't had a proper date before.

Sagittarius A

I do indeed maybe 13 or 14, I didn't even think of it as a date really. The fair was in town and she asked me if I wanted to go with her, it dawned on me later.

We bumped into each other, in odd circumstances, maybe 5 or 6 years later. I was coming home from my girlfriend's I. London and she had come from being out in the town in Manchester. Fate caused us to collide on the last trains home.

She suggested we share a Taxi, but then as she was about to get in, she turned to me smiled and said: 'want to walk me home.' Same look as when she was 13. That's a serious walk too, but I already knew the time would pass easily with her. We were already in our bubble. So we did and I remember the conversation, vividly. We looked such a mismatched pair, me all grungy and her all towny. That gorgeous red hair, of hers catching the streetlights.

She talked so openly, and so deeply yet playfully too. She punched me in the arm and said you still owe me 20p from when we played Golden Axe at the fair.

I remember she said to me, your energy is so placid now, I really like it and she closed the gap as we walked. It felt like a cuddle without any touching. And when we got to her gate, she left it open turned on the path and said there's no one else home.

She was always pretty, but now she was beautiful. Effortlessly elegant. I didn't know what to say, one of my rabbit in the headlight moments. She just smiled and said, you always were one of the good one's, when it mattered.

And that was it, I never saw her again. She wasn't the type to pretend something isn't what it is.

Oh there's no regret for me. It's sweet just the way it was.
