Deaf porn...

Due to a phenomenally fab piece of medical negligence on holiday in Portugal 3 weeks ago I am now deaf until my hearing aids arrive in about 2 weeks time.

Thinking of perking myself up with deaf porn. Which I guess is normal porn with the volume down 😃

Or even better, on the look out for sympathetic messages from the fab women on this site. A man looking for sympathy??? Never 😃 😀 😄

Don't mind ragtime at all. But as I went from perfect hearing to total deafness 3 weeks ago this won't help unfortunately

You could always write out some cue cards with various Ooooo's, Ahaaaa's and porny sounding phrases shuffle them up and deal one every minute or so. I'm sure that will close enough

Did the process not help?

Did your eardrums not heal over and grow back?

.Mine took longer than average, over 2 weeks to return to how I could hear previously. ( everyone said 1 week..)

After a head cold the Portuguese health service "burst" both ear drums. Left ear was OK apparently and a slight infection in the right one. No grommets fitted which should have been. Now profoundly deaf and waiting for hearing aids.

If the hole they made in the eardrum was tiny ( it should be?)...I'm thinking it should grow back at some point, soonish.

So the hearing aids may only be needed temporarily..hopefully .

Good luck with it

My travel insurance doesn't cover medical negligence. Just medical provision whether that is good or bad provision seemingly

I remember you posting about having your eardrums pierced and thinking it must be a very unpleasant procedure.

A friend lost his hearing overnight due to a very loud noise right next to him. He waited quite some time for hearing aids (NHS) and it took him a while to grow accustomed to wearing them.

Best wishes to you

Thank you. I did post that. Neither needed piercing according to the NHS and two hearing aids arriving in a week or so. Then I can get back to my hobby - outside of fab - playing in a band

So you have an ear for music

Apologies, I know it's not a laughing matter. I hope your hearing aids arrive quickly and are a great benefit to you.

My ear for music will return. My band played to about 300 people last Friday and I had to have a stand in. Hopefully he wasn't that good and they will have me back soon

How are you coping with day to day life? It must be awful going from hearing to totally deaf

It's all a bit odd. Had it gone gradually I would have become used to it. But from hearing to not hearing in the space of 24 hours or so has taken some adjusting to. Hearing aids should be with me soon and normal life will return. Whatever normal is 😃
