Best bit was probably work related.

I was told when I became a manager that you work for your team, not the other way around. It's meant I've not had a single person leave in 8 years and they fall over backwards to get the job done.

Advice I gave myself as a teenager after a night out was ‘Never drink anything blue ever again!’

I have stuck to this advice for over 30 years now xx 😄

The "Third Rule" especially for money.

If you are going to finance a project then split the money you have in the bank into 3 equal amounts.

The first 3rd is now your "budget" and that dictates what you can afford.

Projects ALWAYS run over budget with unforseen costs so the 2nd amount covers this.

If you need to dip into the 3rd amount then bail out. Its a money pit and its going to eat all your savings. You still have a 3rd left for a "rainy day" or to start saviing upon for next venture.

This advice has served me well

This too shall pass. Sadly it means the good and the bad times. When it's bad, remember it will pass, when it's good, enjoy it, because it will also pass.
