A Dirty Hole

Even though social media might make us feel like we never left, does anyone even have rice pudding anymore?

And what other foods from when you were really really young do you not want to see on your plate?

There should be an International Criminal Court resolution to ban pop tarts

Love rice pudding and all those old school desserts - delicious and so easy to make.

My school did specialise in spam fritters which I'd happily not encounter again.

I thought you’d be posh and serve the jam in a separate condiment pot.

I’m trying all the chat up lines until I find one that works.

So I recently had a visitor stay with me for three weeks and all she eats is rice every single meal, for a bit of a joke I bought a tin of Ambrosia rice pudding for her. I tasted a bit of it. It’s gross.

I haven’t eaten rice pudding in years but I’d still give it a shot.

I remember those little tubs of ice cream that had a bubble gum at the bottom. Think they were called screwballs. They basically tasted of nothing. Weird how popular they were.

Kheer is lush although still prefer rice pudding done in oven with caramelised sugar on top. I think the rice and milk combo is pretty universal in different cuisines.

I get what you mean. Rice pudding has always felt creamier whereas kheer is something I find a bit lighter and very more-ish. But yeah, you can't go wrong with any combo!

East of Eden, West of Hell

I used to love my Mum's hot rice pudding, or Ambrosia RP when it's straight from the fridge. But not had it in years (she doesn't really make puddings anymore, and I can't much eat rice anymore either).

Butterscotch Angel Delight was the only one I'd eat!

I used to like most of the school dinners. No wonder I was such a chunk!! Although as someone above posted earlier, you can definitely keep liver and onions!! 🤮
