Some people just block as your not for them. I get it. The ladies on here get so much more activity than us single guys. Imagine having over a 1000 messages from people who aren’t what you are looking for, sometimes 3, 4 or 5 messages from the same person. The block is just the easiest way.

I don’t think you need to take things so personally.

People do what they want, not what others think they should do.

Take it easy and have a brew. Takes longer to get to know someone online than it does in person. If they block you, they are probably doing you a favour in the long run.

Move on.

OP, just because you got blocked after a few messages, it doesn't mean the person/people you were chatting with are time wasters. They simply changed their mind, maybe the conversation was not going well, in their opinion? Or you may think "nothing untoward" was said but they thought differently? Also, they may not have been who you thought they were.

Just block back and move on, unfortunately.

Exactly this. The messaging process is about gauging compatibility. You’re not on a promise because you’ve received a few replies.

Time is wasted in getting ready, travelling or, at a push, researching and discussing venues and times with someone who has no intention of attending the meet.

Wouldn’t they be wasting your time more if they kept on messaging if they weren’t really interested.

It’s disappointing on some level and I get that, but that’s the admission price for using a platform like this.

Personally I always give an explanation before doing this. But a lot of women are inundated and I understand and sympathise with their need for shorthand.

Try not to be too disheartened.

This isn’t what I consider a time waster OP. A time waster is someone that arranges to meet you and Doesn’t show up. Trust me when this happens it’s totally shit and why people that have had it done to them don’t do it to others. It makes someone blocking you pale into insignificance I can assure you.

If anything if you are not compatible with each other then arguably they have saved your time haven’t they although I do take the politer approach and let some one know if not my cup of tea but everyone is different.

Maybe after chatting ,they realise that you're not compatible or after the same.

Maybe something you said put them off or they just decided they didn't want to meet for a bit due to life.

You won't know for sure, but the block button is a useful tool.

Ideally they'd tell you before they block you, but many are abusive etc on here if they don't get the answers they want (not saying that's you BTW).

You won't know if you're going to be for each other untill you chat a bit surely?. That's not what if class as time wasting.
