So do you have a process you follow when you get a message? If the message is good do you move onto the photos? Or straight to reading their bio?

Or do you see they’ve messaged so you check out their profile before you even read what they’ve written?

If I am intrigued/mildly interested, I’ll reply. At some times if I am reaaallyyyyy bored I will reply anyway, to say I am happy to chat but chances to meet me in person are slim to none. I start being pressured to meet within 2-3 messages, so I block.

Not really - I mostly prefer to form my own opinion. They’re useful to see if we know people in common or enjoy similar clubs. If they’re overly graphic I’ll look at the ones they’ve left and it might influence whether we reply or not.

I'm surprised there are so many people reading the messages?

I decide from the preview bit of a message whether or not to delete straightaway or open the message to read it. It's likely I delete it then too.

If it is a good message, I'll maybe click on the profile and read the bio first, then the verifications then look at the pictures. But I don't always do this straightaway.

View the profile first 100% of the time both on this and the couples profile.

I'll already have seen the message without opening it anyway as I get email updates when one comes in.

Only if it's well written and clear, with decent photos would the message be opened on Fab and replied to, otherwise it would be deleted without opening, and if the profile is virtually blank or a million miles from ever being compatible it would have been blocked first - prevents any future contact and/or any 'why didn't you reply' follow up messages.

Any 'hi' or similar one word messages would be deleted even if the profile was OK. It's not hard to write at least one interesting sentence.

Has worked as a process for 17 years with no issues. 🤷‍♂️

If its the couples profile, we read the message, check bio, then we check her singles profile to see if the same person messaged her and compare the messages for giveaway telltale issues.

We're never surprised as to how the same person can be completely different in attitude between the two and it's a key indicator for us as to whether we want to engage with that person or not.

I have this profile which is deliberately set up the way it is because a single guys profile that blocks single guys is not really interested in a couples profile, they're interested in access to the woman. Why use a filter when you can delete and block unwanted attention anyway?

And if you block all single males, a couple will still get hundreds of messages anyway from unsuitable people, so why bother?

Between all 3 profiles and no filters we get to identify the problematic people for us.

It's important if we want them involved in our lives.

That's just our way and experiences, different for others. It works great for us.

The beauty now is you can read a couple of lines of the message without opening it, so if it’s shorter than that, graphic/bland or the profile pic is blank/dick pic/action shot/gaping pussy, then it usually gets deleted before we go any further.

If the message gets passed the above, we check out the profile before opening the message - we look at pics, profile wording - if these are bland/basic or too graphic, it’s usually a delete without opening.

We do state in our profile that we don’t entertain those types of profiles so if they’ve not read that or thought they were the exception, then it’s on them for messaging.

If it’s a decent message/profile we’ll reply.

I’d say about 5% of messages get our interest.

A lot pay us compliments about our pics and when we say thanks, they then ask us to meet. We’ve already checked out the profile to know whether there would be interest so they get deleted if there’s no interest.

FAB is here for fun, so we don’t waste time on people that we aren’t interested in.

I’ll read their profile if I see their face first, I don’t know why but I just do it that way.

Look at the preview and to see if they have attached a pic - if the preview is a generic “hi, hey, FAF, Meet now????, piss in my mouth” message and there is no profile picture it’s a straight delete

If the profile picture looks interesting I will look at the profile; pictures first, vital statistics bio and then veris. If anything in all of those don’t float my boat I delete.

If as is good from the profile perv and Im intrigued I’ll read the message - if it’s a good message I will reply and see if the conversation leads to more mischievous antics.

Read the message

- if crude, violent/aggressive, or close up pic of genitals, block then delete

- if very short and dull message, delete (eg "stunning!" Or "hey how ru?")

- if message not either of above, progress to next stage

Read their profile, including look at the interests and age range they have selected. If nothing to put me off, then look at photos. Decide at this point whether to reply or not.

*I'll also check veris, mostly just from nosiness rather than as a decision making element.

Everything else is irrelevant including location and bio because I won't be meeting them anyway but if they've cheated to get around my age filters I usually don't reply at all.

Whenever I receive a message I look at their profile first. If their profile is blank or comprised of just photographs and no description to speak of then I either delete it or - if I'm feeling benevolent - give them a perfunctory "thumbs up"...and then delete.

Alternatively I may reply if there is some substance and originality in their message.

I think it's 'mood dependant'. Fab can often be 'mood interfering'.

Plenty of guys do hoping that the male of the couple doesn't get involved. Then if its pointed out that they aren't looking for a couple then they say that are but made a mistake with their profile. Yeah of course they did.
