I'm back watching Prisoner cell block H for the second time on channel 5 Select.

Even though its absolute nonsense, it's like a drug to me I can't get enough of it

Transsexual Transylvania

I've never been into soaps.

Inspired by Buffy, my wife got into Passions - Spike's favourite soap (and a real show). I watched some of those episodes, and it was pretty insane, with witches and a talking doll named Timmy. 🤣

Oh my..... I haven't watched that in years! Me and a school friend were obsessed with it, the actress who played the Freak came to our city for an autograph signing, we dodged school went to the shopping centre where she was and then didn't approach her because she looked just as terrifying in real life as she did on tv, we were so scared! I'm going to have to watch it relive my youth!

The episode where Plain Jane Super Brain removed her glasses, shook her hair free and miraculously turned into a beauty?

Some of us might have already noticed that about her

Wherever the wind takes me

I remember:

The the High Road

Country Practice (Australian)

The Sullivans (Australian)

Sons and Daughters (Australia)

My Nan loved them and I’d watch them with her if she was looking after me when I was poorly.

"Soap" was a comedy soap opera from the 70's, it's being repeated now on Rewind tv. Still quite funny after all these years. Benson the butler,is the star he got his own spin off series I think.

I always remember my Gran watching the American soaps like Days of Our Lives and Bold and the Beautiful on Channel 5 when I went to visit her.

I always thought it was funny seeing the contrast between the British and American ones

Have you ever seen any foreign speaking ones?

They're ridiculous.

My mum used to watch an Indian one.

There's love triangles, corrupt cops, people resurrected from the dead from being mauled by a man-eating tiger & mother-in-laws from hell in just one episode.

TV dramas tend to follow a single plot and can be quite good

it was dubbed as the bbc's answer to dallas, falcons crest and knotts landing

a glamourous cast, setting etc.
