OP start now! You said things people say trigger your memory, so start with what comes to you easily. The more you write the more you will remember, you'll get in the flow of it. Jokes aside OP, I can so relate to all you have said there. I think making a memoir is a great idea, as and when one of those memories is triggered, just jot it down. As we started having different experiences we just thought it would be something good to look back on one day and say 'can you remember when...?' I only write it in note form really, but enough detail to capture that moment in time.
