Not always a favourite, but a great actor none the less.

But what's your favourite Val Kilmer movie? (Top Gun's not allowed!🤣)

That great scene where his wife let's him know the police are waiting for him. Always wanted to know what happened to him afterwards.

Heat is my favourite next to Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (terrible title) playing Gay Perry, perfectly.

If you’ve never seen it, it’s a Shane Black film with witty dialogue and a really decent plot with Robert Downey Jr and Val Kilmer with real chemistry on screen.

RIP Val

"I loved him in The Saint"

I don't think it's his best film (quite a few above I'd definitely say he's better in), but just for a 'brings back memories of a different time in my life' vibe, I've got to give it to the Saint too. Just as much for the fact Volvo launched the C70 at the same time and it was his car in the movie (Genius reference to the original).

Transsexual Transylvania

He's one of the few actors I've seen do a subtle South African accent (in The Saint - clearly that slightly effete, spaced out, arty Capetonian accent we used to like to rip off in South Africa). Non South-Africans wouldn't really recognise it's regionality, but he nailed it.

I liked The Saint tbh.

Actually found myself driving a Volvo C70 in Oxford with The Saint soundtrack on the CD player once.... little things and all that!😂

Transsexual Transylvania

He was very much an actor of my generation, in that he was in iconic films prominent when I was a teen and a young adult. In the past few years several old uni friends, my brother and my wife have passed. Hearing this piece of news has left me feeling old, tired and melancholy. I feel like the world is moving on and I'm increasingly old. I feel sad, and a bit depressed.

Funny old thing to trigger this.

My name is hilary, it means she who's breasts defy gravity.

My name's Nick, I think my dad thought of it whilst he was shaving.

So many corkers in that movie.
