Not refering particularly to the OP, If only people thought like that rather than seeking controvercy would be better, wouldn't it. Some probably think they are in danger for some reason from a bi person. Hard sometimes to look at personal prejudices that go much deeper. Or perhaps just don't understand why people don't say on their profile for various reasons. Who knows? As you say in this case they personly said they were bi so like you fail to see the issue. Btw, I am out.

I think the issue they mean is if someone who only wants to meet straight men messaged them, they’re unlikely to say they’re bi.

That’s how I read it anyhow
