What causes you to be attracted to people? Do you have a certain look you go for and never stray from that, or are you attracted to different things in people.

Is there a reason you are attracted to this type of person, does it stem from life experiences or do you not think to much about it and go with the flow?

For Mr I'm attracted to all different looks in a guy, I'm not physically attracted to one thing but I do go for the same type of personality

For women I 100% have a particular look and personality type I go for and have never strayed from it. It goes back to my very first experiences with a woman.

Looks, no. Body type no. I have been attracted to all sorts. I have a preference sure but the differences are stark.

Commonality I guess is a sense of humour and confidence. Loads for the former and at least a little for the latter is what I am attracted to.

Personality for me is the key. You could be the most attractive woman in the world with everyone clamouring to get with you but have the personality of a brick, then what's the point.

I love someone who is true to themselves, has a great sense of humour but also someone who is actually a good person, that for me trumps everything

Jokes aside, I look for aesthetically pleasing bodies, whether she's plus size, gym fit or just average / slender. And faces are important, I'm drawn to proportional facial structures, so I don't have a "type" perse, but I do love the alt girl style. I just like what I find aesthetically pleasing and well maintained.

I do like short girls though, their small hands make my dick look even bigger 😂🤣 okay I'll stop making jokes now 🥲

Personality is the deciding factor, I wouldn't touch a woman with a bargepole no matter how objectively attractive she is or how interested in me she could be, if I find her personality to be highly unpleasant and toxic she can go somewhere else.

You know, I have no idea of a quantifiable value that I can attribute to attraction for me.

I can appreciate certain kinds of beauty on a purely aesthetic level easily enough. I can know if someone is visually stunning. But that doesn't mean I'm attracted to them.

It's probably some hippie sound bollocks about energy and chemistry and all that jazz. But when I'm into someone I'm just into them 💜

Personality and chemistry for me.

Looks are important but if there's no chemistry then you could be the most stunning person in the world but it won't go further than a chat.

Going solely on looks I don't have a type. I feel I can appreciate beauty in many forms so it really is personality which does it for me.

A good sense of humour, a kind decent person who radiates positivity is what I look for. I think good looks and a decent body are a plus, however these can easily be as unattractive with a bad personality.

That someone would be me. I'm more than happy to make friends if I wasn't attracted to them.

You do make a good point which I often try call on with some people who claim that personality matters more than looks. I think a lot of people try to claim personality is more important yet will always boil their decision down to looks in a yes or no format with no gray area to allow room for personality to be the deciding factor.

If I think someone is objectively attractive, but not necessarily an instant yes, I allow that room for personality to build upon that physical attraction.

There have been times in my life when I encountered people who didn't make me turn into a loony tunes caricature but their personality and getting to know them left me gripping at my seat with anticipation and felt a strong physical attraction to them

Looks are the gate opener. My usual go to (for men) is dark tall and handsome but what really draws me in is a persons lips, and how their mouth moves, their eyes and their jawline. Then personality comes into play; we have to be on the same wavelength and be able to make me laugh. If good thighs come as a part of that package and a nice set of broad shoulders too, then I’m moist!

As for women, similar physical attributes draw me in although height and hair colour are more fluid. I like curves but then ultimately it is the personality.

A have a wide variety of attraction that can vary from person to person. There’s no template. All I can say is that ‘in person’ attraction vastly outweighs a picture or video. You need the personality, the voice and the aura to spark that real attraction x

There's loads of things, it changes with the person and my mood too. E.g. I can look at someone and say to myself great smile and attractive or equally look another time and think amazing eyes.

Generally I would say face is important over body but if they are a tool then it doesn't matter what they look like. When it comes to being physical I can't stand poor hygiene, its a massive turn off.

I think with just you can ve more fickle with what's important but with longer term relationships it pays to be choosy

I like a nice face, doesn't have to be classically good looking just appealing to me especially when their eyes light up when they smile. Intelligent, similar sense of humour, charismatic, can hold a good conversation, I find a lot of the time chemistry is more about personality for me more than looks. Someone who teases my mind and gets into my head.

With women I do like a curvaceous figure, pale skin, brunettes or red heads but again they're just preferences and attraction is about so much more. Someone who can make me laugh, is flirty and tactile, but I *do* have a weakness for dominant confident women

I don't think there's a certain look. it's more of how it feels with someone.

Is it possible for me to say that I have very deeply and introspectively explored my past and that's why I am someone who desires to be in the moment - go with the flow as you put it. Or does that sound contradictory?

There's personality traits that appeal to me. Authenticity, playfulness, spontaneity, depth of thought and feeling. A sprinkling of deviancy, often manifesting in humour, which can dark and satirical. Emotional range and expression, I can't cope with perpetual positivity. A sense of tranquility and contentment, being able to share time together without pressure to speak or have organised activities.

Those people I have had that with, their eyes stay in my mind. Their facial expressions, body language, touch. They have a looked quite different though.

I can't say the physical isn't important, but it comes later and it's not specific.

How we engage sexually, now that's important.
