Maybe in some cases a fear of intimacy is a determining factor.

I think more often it's just an aspect of a consumerist culture that everything becomes transactional and commodified.

I honestly have yet to meet a man who knows what passion is. Their idea of it is very far from where I am wrt passion.

Passion does come with knowing someone so a hook up is not going to fulfill my passion glass.

Passion, if it's emotional as in a connection then it has to be more that a meeting.

But passion over came us within 10 minutes of meeting.

Not me, I live for it, when the emotions and chemistry are on fire and that intense passion kicks in, it drives me absolutely wild, and it doesn't necessarily have to be part of a committed relationship to have that intense intimacy
