Today I got a message from a couple asking if I'd like to play with the wife. They weren't my type so I exercised my right to not respond.

Lo and behold, a couple of hours later they message again, basically saying "good chat" and a sarcastic eyeroll emoji.

It annoyed me, and now I can't decide what would be best - continue to ignore, or reply with somethng equally sarcastic?

Anyway ladies, I empathise with you. I've been here years and only had this once or twice, but from what I've gathered, it's more of a daily occurrence for a lot of you.

How do you prefer to deal with this scenario?

Either reply and say ‘there’s no interest’ or just delete or block.

All three would give them the message. Although deleting seems to suggest that you haven’t said no so they can send another message, if it’s anything like our inbox 😬

seriously, you can make this site easy or hard. Rather than press a block button that takes a mini second you would sooner bring it to the forum. Certainly doesn't paint you in a very good light

In recent years I've found them far more flaky and likely to disappear than women are. However, I imagine they are better than a lot of guys here.

Something along the lines of:

Cool story

L2P

Less QQ more pew pew.

That kind of ethos but less gaming-speak. Or maybe not, maybe I just won't respond at all.

Honestly though, I've found if I decline respectfully there's very rarely any issues. So I don't think my experience as a single male profile is comparable to that of a single female profile. My experience as a couple was probably more comparable.

Was just looking for opinions, I don't think that's unreasonable on a discussion forum. You can see me in whatever light you wish though

If it was a bit more caustic than them, I would report. And block, when there's no interest or point in future engagement. Keep it simple. And don't get caught up in negativity of any type. It's unhealthy and no good for anyone

Ironically, I'd have to agree. We've been put off other couples' profiles altogether (for now). Also, I've only ever spoken to the female half twice.

Phil ! You really are not chill.. tsk.

1. You say their 'eye roll' annoyed you and that's fine but it is YOU that feels annoyed and that is just EGO .. your ego is bruised.

2. You say you want to reply with something equally as sarcastic - then you are giving your control away and becoming THEM. Unless sarky is your usual mode of reply.

3. You say to block and ignore would be no fun = You are seeking to be vengeful, sarky and appease your bruised ego.

Is an emoji from an socially inept dick worth your time and trouble ?

You choose who you want to be in this scenario .... PhilChill or Puppet of a Dickhead

Interesting how the mere mention of this topic has triggered some indepth analysis! I have no ego here, and I'm not sure how someone moaning that I didn't reply to them would damage it regardless. I think it's actually some of the responders here who need to chill a bit ...

It's not my fault you aren't getting messages to ignore

I had the same thing a couple of weeks ago, on holiday with the Mrs and a couple messaged 3 or 4 times, deleted them and ignored it

Then they sent the “why no reply” and started claiming I was rude and ignorant 😂🙈

Just block and delete it, it’ll annoy them more

I was in exactly the same situation. I replied, politely explaining that I didn't find them even remotely attractive. They blocked me and then publicly accused me of being a time waster. I saw it when logged in using our couples profile. Reported them and nothing was done by the admin. Just block them , save yourself the hassle.
