What’s everyone’s thoughts on social activities to promote engagement and active lifestyles?

I’d always be up for a run with local fellow lifestyle friends

All over

I think there are plenty of such activities out there for anyone that way inclined. Unless you were looking for a little bit of extra

If I'm trying to convince a guy to have sex with me, I don't think the best way would be for him to see me running all sweaty and out of breath.

Ah I don't do enough to get sweaty during sex.

No we like to keep the two things separate, too many men have no idea of boundaries and will assume they can act like they are not in a public place.

If we walk then we do it for fitness and health benefits.

Don't want some guy turning up in tight shorts determine to show off his bulge and expect something when the group is out.

I was part of a fab walking group years ago. It started with 40 members but only 20 turned up for the first walk.

Second walk had 10 and third had 4.

Over a 5 or 6 month period there were approx 60-70 people who joined and left after one walk or even without walking at all when they realised it really was an actual walking group and wasn't code for orgy.

When I tell that story most people immediately assume those were all men but that couldn't be further from the truth.

At least 60 percent of those complaining about no after parties or rules banning any hanky panky during the walks were single women.

There was a ridiculous amount of showing off by climbing mountains wearing jeans and dress shoes and a couple of incidents of people ending up in hospital because they refused to take advice on footwear and proper clothing.

I applaud anyone starting groups like this now but they need to be fully aware that not everyone joining will be on the same wavelength.

Exactly.

This is like a organised social in a pub with civilians around then ladies turning up in full party gear, see through clothing, stockings and the like.

Time and place!

Swansea

Seems like a strange mix to me. Apart from being an antisocial bugger at the best of times and even more so when I'm running, there is zero cross over between the two activities. It's a bit like asking if there's a cross stitch group for mountain bikers.

The problem is perhaps that there's only 1 letter difference between walking and wanking and those who signed up but didn't engage in the walking, perhaps thought they were going to be in a penis massage group

The group was set up by someone in a specific region of the country and it was advertised on the forums as being for anyone but initially the walks would all be in that area to ensure the organiser had more control over routes etc.

At least a dozen who signed up whined that the walks were all too far away and why couldn't they be more central.

Another dozen or so introduced themselves to the group by saying they didn't drive and would require transport and offered BJ's in exchange for a lift.

One woman joined and left the next day and rejoined and left 4 or 5 more times and eventually said it was a shit group because everyone was only interested in walking. The fact that very few seemed to be only interested in walking must have been lost on her.

The fallout from the drama, oneupmanship, injuries, pneumonia and bitching lasted for months and resulted in many, including me, leaving fab or just not logging into their profiles for a year or more.

I made some great friends through it but overall it was a soap opera on steroids.
