Coining a new word...

Apparently there's no such thing as "Euphrodist"

The base word Euphrodisia itself is also not a recognized term in any official lexicon — it's a coined word derived from "euphoria" (joy) and "aphrodisia" (sexual desire).

The idea is that a "Euphrodist", is someone who derives sexual and romantic pleasure from creating joy, laughter and happiness, in their partner.

It's a sexual pleasure based in acts of service, words of affirmation, and gift giving (not exclusive to monetary gifts).

There are many words that describe similar dynamics e.g. compersion, altruistic eroticism, cherophilia and gelosophilia. But none of these really fit into a broader description and isn't inherently rooted in romanticism.

It's something I feel drawn to describe myself as part of my sexual pleasure. The act of telling the other person all the things I want to do to make them happy, follow up with putting those words into action, and seeing the joy in them, REALLY turns me.

For instance saying things like "I want to treat you to an amazing gourmet dinner, candles, a little wine and good music, pamper you and treat you like a queen". And then actually seeing their face and their reaction to tasting great food, their surprise to the effort I put into making it nice for them. It doesn't have to be romantic either, just seeing joy in their face makes me feel closer and intimate with them.
