Shopping in your PJ’s

I’ve just seen a man in the supermarket in his dressing gown and slippers. It was a middle-aged man and it was in a main out of town supermarket, not the local convenience store. Personally, I wouldn’t be seen dead walking around in my nightwear. (Not that I wear anything in bed) but you get my point.

So I pose the question to the group would you go to an out of town supermarket shopping in your pj’s/nightie??

No, I don't own night wear. (Grey joggers at the most is my lounge wear) 🤣 I'd be arrested for indecent exposure

When i was younger I never used to leave the house without first having a shower🤣🙈

Now it's maybe joggies and a hoodie with a wooly hat to hide the bed head, that's getting harder now it's getting warmer.

Something worse than that I recently saw an oldish guy out shopping in a tiger onesie.

It's not for me personally but some people do struggle with dressing etc, mental health can have a huge impact as well as just not giving two fucks what anyone else thinks and just going out warm and cosy.

.

Would never do it, I don't mind if others do. As a poster mentioned above, MH, not giving a fuck. Having various things on. Being hungover as fuck.

If it doesn't affect me, people can carry on. I don't like seeing bums over the top of pyjamas in supermarkets though, offends my sensibilities.

I would not subject anyone to this and may take the ‘every little helps’ slogan as a slur

It was Book Week a week or so ago; many kids and school staff where I live went to school in their Jim-jsms; maybe he's a teacher and got his dates mixed up?

No I wouldn't.

I won't even answer the door in my dressing gown.

Other people can do what they like but it's a fairly recent trend as far as I'm aware. Previously if we saw someone out shopping in dressing gown and slippers we'd worry about them and ask if they needed help.

I wouldn’t do it but have seen a few older people do it. I assume dementia or some other horrible disease and feel sorry for them.

Nope, absolutely not , I think it's both a lazy & attention seeking exercise.

I'd try not to. I've never done it.

I can see someone - maybe me, potentially - falling so far into depression that there's a choice between getting dressed and going outside. Going outside is probably healthier in that scenario.
