Hi Everyone, we are in Bangkok next month (April) for 5 days as part of a tour of Asia. We are looking for any hints, tips or recommendations that would help us enjoy ourselves in Bangkok. Especially anything “exciting” you have found and things we can do as a couple. S has also said that I can go for a two girl massage - and all that accompanies that - so again any advice / recommendations would be helpful and appreciated. Don’t fall for the tuk tuk scam - you will end up spending a big chunk of your day being taken to jewellers, suit makers etc. going for the hard sell!

He shouts No meter…

So you had to negotiate a price

It is the Land of Smiles they say..and it is

Some of the better hotels take the taxi number

So I believe they have to use meter…

We wanted a taxi back where we were staying

No taxi would take us, as it was rush hour in Bangkok

Sky train I like..

There is an underground train to.

Think all the time of plan B if things do go as planned

I will be in Bangkok 8th to 10th of April and then heading to Pattaya. It's a great place and I've always been fine As has been mentioned ask for a meter in the taxi as soon as you go in if they refuse get out. The sky train is easy to use and basically takes you to the places worth visiting. Don't even bother getting a tuk tuk as they will try to take you to food places, Diamond shops, suit tailors etc where everything is overpriced and they get a big kick back. Where in Bangkok are you staying?
