Forced to verify a new couples profile?

I've just started a couples profile with my girlfriend and had access to the site however when we amended the profile detail it forced us to upload a Verification picture, is this correct?

We don't live together so can't do this for a few days. We can't access the site now until a Verification picture has been authorised.

I have tried to search for our profile on my account and it isnt showing up, please help!

I just replied to your other post saying. Can't you just do it in a few days. What's the rush the sites not going anywhere

Probably best just to wait a few days until you can verify to be fair

Looks like we'll have no choice! I just wondered if it was standard procedure or not. If it had forced us to do it before giving us access to the site it would have made sense, it didn't appear to say anywhere that it was compulsory.

It never used to be compulsory but I'm not sure about now. It's along time since I joined

I don't think it's compulsory, but it's something that happens to some profiles. It happened to me years ago.

Nobody can see your verification photo only you.

Yes I had to with mine…. To be honest I think it’s good…. A lot of bogus and fake profiles on her too…..

I’ve chatted to a few couples on here in depth only to discover days/weeks later they were made up……

Tip….. use the tineye or lens app to cross check pictures……I was chatting to a couple in Dublin for about a week,… most authentic chat ever and discovered her pics she shared were from a dodgy Russian porn site……. At best it’s some lonely bloke who gets zero attention as a solo profile and cst fishes for interactions…. At worst whoever is running it has other more sinister motives… eg persuade you to share personal info, identify or face pics etc

Be careful…. Verification is to protect everyone including you…

The same happened when I created my couples profile about 8 months ago. I just assumed it was a new standard practice. It's no big deal, just upload a pic together when you can.

Upload one in a few days when you're together. All good things come to those who wait.

Thanks for the responses, Admin very kindly responded to my message, they didn't confirm if it was compulsory now or not but did say we can do a collage and if it doesn't work to let them know and they'll sort. Guess we can't ask for more than that!

I had to do photo verification to prove I was a woman when I started uploading photos and videos I think.

It’s to stop single guys pretending to be a couple or a husband / male creating a couples profile, posting pictures of her without the knowledge of their partner (it happens, the men just hope they can convince the missus to give it a go).

It requires both to be in the picture… any verification steps always give full support to as it cuts down on fake accounts. 👏

I completely understand and agree with the policy, just think it should be done before they let you on the site. And to be fair, we probably wouldn't have done it so will help to prove that we're genuine anyway.

If Fab made their evaluation and checking systems/tools simple to predict, it would weaken their effectiveness. It's worth having to suffer some inconvenience, so that our site experiences can be improved etc. It could mean that some things are slower to accomplish but it's better to be in Fab for the longhaul.

With the growth of AI etc, sites can get inundated with accounts being setup by technology, as well as the catfishers, fantasists and other unsavoury types.

Completely agree and at least the site has given workable options to get round my particular issue. We all want a genuine, effective site where timewasters are kept to a minimum.

Because he's posting on his single profile and the post was about a new couples profile that's been set up.
