It strikes me as funny,

There are quite a few profiled that get 'updated' in what seems like an endless RSS feed if someines life....

Would you really need to do this???

Is life so dull you need to tell the world???

The 'is life so dull?' meme is lazy, not to mention easily extended to other people.

E.G., 'Is life so dull that you need to read other people's personal profiles and then moan about them on an internet forum?'

See what I'm getting at?

Are you talking about the profile itself or the status? For me personally whilst my status is facebooky, by stating doing both jobs or working all weekend like my present status is, it does mean that I don't have to tell everyone that messages me that I cannot meet because I am working. Of course there are still I have to tell but that's because they don't read anything just look at the pictures

I never read my local updates. In fact the first page I go to is the forums.

Go on facebook, some people even let you know when they go to the toilet lol
