I’m old forum person from about five/six years ago, and occasionally have a peek on fab. It looks like I’m single… again after a 3 year thing.

Which means I’m 3 years older as well.

So at what age does having fab meets stop, if at all or going to clubs. Is there a time you would be self conscious??

I'm 51 and been single for about 18 months after 33 years serial monogamy. Haven't ever actually been on a date, took me a year from getting my membership with a swingers club to build up the courage to attend.

I had a hookup kinda thru the site 6 months ago, I have a regular guy I see every week, I'm going to the club at least once a month and in a couple of weeks I have a sapphic weekend booked with a newly minted trans girl.

Age needn't be any kind of barrier.

I don’t believe it’s based on age.

Firstly looking at your profile you are nowhere near too old. You won’t have any problems finding fun within your bounderies.

Secondly, do understand your concerns. We are 59m/63f and we are finding meets very difficult lately and do question if we should stop. We haven’t been to a club for about 18 months, as the last time we went we did feel out of place around all the younger couples.

49 is not 'too old' but getting older definitely can be a factor in sexual relationships (of all types) whether that's becoming less physically attractive, or less physically active. Neither of these has to apply to anyone but clearly they apply to some of us oldies.🤷‍♂️

I don't think you be one self conscious but I do think you start to look at yourself differently. I was laying in bed this morning looking at the crepey skin on my arms and wondering if all the younger men that say they love older women are actually aware of what we really look like.

I think it's very easy to look at all the gorgeous younger people on here and feel that you wouldn't want to get naked next to them.

I don't think there's an age when it all just switches off! (I hope not!!) But I've certainly found as I've got older I'm finding it harder to find what I want. And what I want has changed massively. So I think there'll come a time (maybe sooner than I thought) that I'm gonna be done with all this and look for something meaningful before I really do get too old!!

Welcome back Snow - I've not even made it to a club yet, so perhaps it's all relative rather than having a time limit.

I think if you are enjoying what you do, then it's ok to embrace as many experiences as possible.

There's no fixed age when you have to stop, I remember a lady who used to go to VA that was in her mid 70s! She had a fantastic body and was very popular. She used to go with her husband who liked to watch her in action.

Stop when it no longer works for you.

I've been thinking about this some more. I do wonder when interest will drop. I still feel young, and so far my face and body seem to have a broad appeal. I only started exploring this side of myself in the last few years and it feels cruel that it might all just evaporate over the next few years.

I try not to care what other people think but it's impossible to shrug that off completely.

I am not sure that my perspective/experience will relate directly to you OP, as I feel that woman have a longer “shelf life” on fab than men. But I will say that yes it becomes a little harder to meet as you get older and also I have gained a greater understanding of the kind of people I like to meet, that alters the potential for meeting, which, can lead to frustration and a “maybe I’m too old for this” psychology.

But I will say that, yes, it’s a bit more “work” but the meetings get better and better as I focus on what nourishes me mentally and what excites me physically and being able to articulate that with like-minded people is great. So for me it’s not age related, but a change of perspective related to knowing what you want and matching that with similar people. Sex is still very much something I enjoy doing, and I’ll keep on keeping on until the day it’s replaced by model trains, collecting newspaper clippings of interesting trees or learning to crochet.
