Lost enthusiasm for the site and how to regain it??

So I've been on this site nearly a year and half now but lately I just feel like I've lost enthusiasm for the site. Not sure why, maybe because of stuff going on in my personal life? Or just got bored? I don't know.

Has anyone gone through similar where they've lost enthusiasm for being on here? And what did you do to regain that enthusiasm? Did you take a long break? Get motivated again? Just wondering. Thanks.

I think it's common and perfectly normal to feel fab burnout from time to time. I usually either put my profile to private for a bit and just ease off from logging in from time to time. Go off and do some hobbies or other things I like then come back when I'm feeling ready. Just don't do anything rash and delete your profile like I did one time.

Have been feeling the same. Keep debating taking a break but it keeps me hanging on lol

The site can be demoralising at times and doesn’t help if you have things going on in your real life. Having a short term break is recommended until you find your mojo again mate.

I go through huge peaks and troughs of loving the site and chatting/browsing and feeling excited to log on…and then feeling like it’s a chore or getting the ick!

I just take a break and leave the admin to Ted for a while. And if he needs a break, then the profile goes unloved for a week or six!

Been on here with the same profile for 14 years and I regularly take breaks away, sometimes just for a month or two but the last break was a year, and I'm really enjoying being back now, not sure how long it will last before I need another break but one thing for sure is I would never delete my account

I've had total breaks and deleted my profile a couple of times.

I'm on a break from meeting new people at the moment and I don't see an end to it for a long time.

I don't have the physical or emotional energy to make new connections.

As a woman it's not difficult to find sex. I don't want hook up sex.

Yeah I think I may do that. I mean I will keep in contact with people I already speak too. But just find it tedious and hopefully my enthusiasm will return soon.

I’ve felt that a few times as a single. Usually I just stepped back for a bit and waited to feel that pull of interest.

Sometimes it just takes the spark of meeting someone who excites you to set you off again, sometimes you need to hide your profile and take a bit of time away focusing on other things - Fab can become a bit much at times.

I think it’s good to take a break.Whilst on the break reevaluate what was making you unhappy and how to fix it.From a personal perspective that is what I did in 2017 as I was approaching 50.I decided that once I hit 50 I would be out of a lot of people’s age range so I lowered my expectations shall we say.I focus on joining a club , going to a spa and attending socials.This worked for me.However now I am 57 I think I may need another break or permanently call it a day as I am not quite feeling it.Looks like age is catching up with me.

I have ups and downs with it all the time. Somethings it bores me senseless … just switching off from it renews that bit of ooomph when I log back on. Or if not, just hide and stay away for a while. I’m only back on 6/7 months go after have a 2 year break.

My last few visits to clubs havent excited me either.

I need a few private 121 meets to get the excitement going again.

I've been ghosted, back to back, after having a date or 2 so my confidence is a tad low also.

There are other sites out there you can try instead, but in all honesty, if you’re looking for single females to spend time with, they are all around you in the vanilla world, and certainly more than you will find in here

I find Fab is all peaks and troughs; when it’s good it’s really good, and when it’s not so good, it can be a very lonely place as a single guy, especially when a new solo female profile appears, and pumps out veri after veri in a short space of time! I amuse myself by plotting their menstrual cycles from the gaps in their veris……
