Tenerife - where to stay

Evening all !

I've got 4 days of AL to take before the end of March, so I've booked some last minute cheap flights to Tenerife.

I've never actually been before and now realise it's actually quite a big island and I'm not sure where to stay.

I'm only going for 3 nights, and looking for a mixture of chilling by the pool, activities and a few bars. I also enjoy golf !

Any recommendations people?

Unless its dramatically changed in 20 years, best avoid Las Americas/Los Christianos....bit of a chav city, english breakfast, pavement pizza resort
