Did you have a mentor or influential person in your youth if so, who was it?

I had a music teacher from Sweden when I was about 9. I distinctly remember him giving kids in the class instruments to play. Percussion instruments, trumpets etc.

(I recall music lessons were excruciatingly boring to me before that guy arrived..)

My 5th year tutor was amazing. He got us to do lots of charity work, helping in the community and developing lots of skills and a view of the world that stay with you for ever.
