Yes or no?

This dress and trainer combo is pretty solid.

I like some good dark trainers with a suit. Saw an older man in a suit wearing a north face jacket and air max 95s. Incredible. It’s a yes from me. Pretty fly for a white guy

Mr wore Converse with his suit for our wedding. 🥵

Pickle might be disappointed in me for saying this... It depends on the trainers, and 95s would be a nope from me. My son would also disown me for that comment. 🫠

Dress and trainers, yes. Works for most. I wore wedge trainers with my wedding dress. I'd have worn converse too but my dress was too long for them, with me being a short ass

For our evening reception I changed into a party dress with white Converse, they had my new surname written on the side. I was so comfortable to dance the night away.

When my son went to prom he wore a suit with trainers and looked so smart. As long as the cut of the trousers legs is narrow at the bottom it will suit trainers, and looks great.

No chance, dress and trainers can be casual relaxed dress code. Suit is not casual relaxed dress. Only go as far as smart casual (no tie, open top button) and should always be worn with shoes(not the ones with the thick white soles) and more importantly black or dark blue socks. I'll accept a sports jacket as casual, but then that's not a suit jacket.. do the younger nippers not have any class and style? Or am I too old school?

Recently watching streetwalk videos on YouTube. Night walks in big cities.

Lots of pubbers n clubbers.

What struck me is the guys use little effort. There was a time where jeans n trainers n hoodies n sweatshirts n polo shirts weren't allowed in clubs.

The girls look stunning.

Personally it does nothing for me and not bothered what people wear.

I was lucky enough to experience the late 60's, 70's and 80's colourful n Glam periods in pop and fashion culture.

Anyone else think it's the cut of the suit that matters.

British tailoring is a bit too formal, the fabrics are a bit too 'heavy' and structured I think for trainers, whereas Italian suits, with their 'lighter' fabrics and colours lend themselves to trainers very well.

It could just be the Italian men who are wearing them though, they are so stylish, they'd make a bin bag look great,

Old boss used to wear burgundy Adidas with gum soles (no idea what style name because I'm not good with stuff like that). I think the cut of the suits he used to wear made the look work - they looked better than the tan oxfords he occasionally wore.

It could be a generational thing but I think trainers do not go with any formal attire, no matter how over priced those trainers are and whose name you're paying to advertise.

Chams or Socials

"Old boss used to wear burgundy Adidas with gum soles (no idea what style name because I'm not good with stuff like that). I think the cut of the suits he used to wear made the look work - they looked better than the tan oxfords he occasionally wore.

He didn't give a shit what anyone thought though, which was part of his appeal."

I had the loveliest colleague (taken too soon last May) who was an avid Adidas collector & didn’t own any other shoes. We used to try & guess which pair he’d be wearing. Rarely got it right though

People should wear what they feel comfortable in, or just feel like wearing.

The last time I wore a suit was 25 years ago, I had to hire it as I didn’t own one.
