My dear friend is staying with me this weekend and she and her family cook the most amazing curries and I want to surprise her by returning the favour

I can of course look up recipes but has anyone here cooked a tranditional banglandeshi curry before and have any cooking recipes/tips for me please.

She loves heat and spice but more flavoursome that blow the roof of your mouth off thank you xxx

Hayling Island

My Indian friends also make the most amazing and delicious curries. So rather than trying to offer them my imitation of their own cuisine, I like to cook spicy, flavorfull dishes from other parts of the world. Something different and exiting that I know will appeal to their palates.

Cape Malay, Jamaican, creole, Thai, Korean etc...

I'm Bengali OP. What type of curry are you thinking of making? In my experience, the easiest is a fish chutney with daal

She doesn't believe it or not eat fish. I make what I call a takeaway curry but wanted something different
