Flirting

You hear it mentioned a lot here

But what actually is it?

Can it be defined beyond the dictionary definition

Does it boil down to individual interpretation?

Does it depend on how much you fancy the flirter?

Flirting in real life, act awkward, talk too filthy, get d*unk, dribble in their ear and try not to throw up as I deep throat them.

I've got flirting down to a T

Flirting is a form of communication, words and body language. It works when both people speak the same language, can read the same signals, but can be wildly wrong if not. Probably better in real life than online.

Implied communication is so sexy and romantic isn't it?

Personally I can't see how that kind of thing could be misinterpreted in any way, shape or form.

I quite enjoy it though, when it's playful and we are on the same page already. Too much and it become a bit: shit or get off the potty.

I flirt. I can't define it because I'm unable to deconstruct the trait. I just do it without looking into the minutiae of it.

I think flirting is one of those things which relies on stimulus from the other person (obviously) because the other person may not be aware of their interest, until the 'flirter' starts to ruffle their plumage at the 'flirtee'.

Who knows? I don't.

I just flirt in my own hapless way.

Flirting is so much more than just words, and therefore always better in person. It's the eye contact, the body language, the tone of your voice, the touches; it's more how you say than what you say 🥰

As some have said, flirting is definitely better in person. Body language, eye contact, gestures, intonation of your voice all add to the flirting and build the chemistry. Biting your lip, smiling, holding someone's gaze, breathing quickening, giggling, blushing, how you hold yourself, teasing etc etc are all part of the game.

You can flirt on here and it can be fairly successful, but it's a very base level of flirting. It's only when you are face to face that you can gauge if there is real chemistry

I used to be such an awkward flirt because I was shy and a bit bashful. I think I've gotten better, age brings more confidence too. I do fairly okay I think.

Not a clue.

My friends have to tell me afterwards if someone's been flirting with me or I've been flirty.

Grab my arm and pull me to bed and I'll still think you're just being nice. Like, let's just sit around on this swingers club bed with the door locked and have a nice ol' chinwag.

I'm pretty useless at flirting online but face to face, up close and personal is a different story entirely.

I run a bar for a living, so I pretty much get paid to flirt,😁

I'll never cross the line and put the heavie's on anyone. It's all light hearted stuff. I get lots of pleasure from making people feel good about themselves and as a host it's my job/ pleasure to do so,😊🌈

Thank You for the contributions and insights so far...

Now, let me pose another question

Have you ever met someone you didn't particularly fancy whose 'flirt' was so good that it altered your view of them?

No. I'm not that impressionable that someone's flirt is going to capitulate my desire for chemistry and personality.
