Daffs are just opening.

Rose bushes are budding and so are all my Hydraneas ❤️

I was doing an inspection/light pruning earlier and all my plants look promising so far, which is always a relief as we have some right issues with the local Slugs. 🤞

Get in now and rake it out. Good time of the year to rake old grass out anyway. Can resow bald areas then.

Same here. Well not had space or time I mean. You can only keep them in certain locations anyway. Perhaps a Looking for a beekeeper thread and we go and visit them.

My Pulmonaria Blue Ensign has it's first little open flower. I'm ridiculously excited about that

Also, my Chimonanthus has 4 whole flowers this year. It's not been in long, so next year I'll have even more. It smells bloody divine.

Generally things that can handle my rather neglectful/ unknowledgeable approach to gardening.

I've a hydrangea and bleeding heart amongst others that seem to keep going year after year. Just hoping some of my more recently planted ones survived their first winter haircut. Not sure if I was a bit too severe. Will have to see come the summer what pops up

The house i moved to has a lot of different shrubs ,trees and plants half of them no idea what they are.

Only thing i have added is more daffodils, tulips, snowdrops, hyacinth, azaleas after i made some larger borders.

Also put in some heathers after reading they was good for bees.

I am planning to add some foxgloves this year also good for bees but will mean i have to take out some existing plants and not decided which yet. Other option would be in planters.

It had a tremendous innings and had been a cheap buy, as it wasn't a named variety.
