At what age do you think you become middle aged or old aged?

Do you feel your age or is the saying “age is just a number” relevant?

I think I read the average woman lives to around 85, so middle age for us is about 40... But I didn't fact check the source (which was a female retirement article)

I haven't had a mid life crisis yet so I'm going to live to at least 120.

I like to think, and try really hard to see age as levels. Currently on level 51 sometimes I wish I could start the game again though?

North West. Sometimes London/Cambridge

Some days my body aches and I feel old … some days I’m like I’m in my 20s. So it depends on the day of the week

I think these phrases are increasingly meaningless - changes in medicine mean that you can be active for far longer than used to be the case.

Some people age very quickly. They lose their health and just get stuck in a downward rut early in life. Others seem to get better and better as they age. What’s old for one would be young for another.

I know a couple on here in their late 60s/early 70s. If you met them you would think they were at least 20 years younger.

Middle aged? 40+

Old aged - when you really start feeling your age/acting a lot older than you are.

Middle aged I'd say 45. Old aged maybe 75 plus ?

Age is definitely not just a number, the passing of time impacts on us in so many ways.

I think I do feel my age but mostly because I've tried to embrace whatever age I am at that point.

Some days I feel really old.

Middle age is I guess 40s&50s.

Old enough to know better but young enough to enjoy it .

I actually love the age I am now. I think there's certainly something in the life begins at 40 saying.

"At what age do you think you become middle aged or old aged?

I think middle age is a state of mind. To me it implies being slightly jaded and stuck in your ways and is often used as a put down.

Old age starts at around 65 and is also a state of mind and used to put people down.

Age is definitely not 'just a number'. I'm not the same as a woman in her 30s or even 50s and I don't really want to be.

I think your 40s is a great decade, so are your 50s, 60s isn't too bad either

I don’t think these terms mean much anymore, people live a lot longer and take care of themselves a lot better.

I think you are old when most people you know are younger than you and you’re mentally or physically struggling to live an active meaningful life
