"I really want to know how Kurt cobain was able to blow his head off with three times the leatal dose of heroin in his system." Minimum lethal doses were tested on animals then expanded for human size. An MLD is also classified for a non-drug user of an average weight. Cobain took what for a non-user would probably cause cardiac arrest in 3 mins, but for him and his excessively high intake, about 10-15 mins. Plenty of time to stick a gun in your gob and pull the trigger.

"Why poorly written conspiracy theory books become best sellers. Dan Brown, Im looking at you!" Interesting this conspiarcy thing. I would love to know what really went on with 9/11 but I dont believe there was a conspiracy. " If the Americans hadn't landed, the Russians would have exposed the lie years ago! " The problem lies in Russia never making it to the moon after apollo 11, and the fact the yanks may well have landed one of the later Apollo missions. I'll see if I can find the name of the doco, if you have a decent grasp of physics you may question it too

Now I'm not sure" Not that it's proper science but the mythbusters did a very good job showing how the shadows etc were made by just one light source, ie the sun. The best proof however, are the retro reflectors that were left on the surface by the Apollo astronauts and that are frequently used by many institutions all over the planet who fire lasers off them in order to measure the distance from earth to the moon.

Well it's a mystery to me any way! The question isn't so much about visiting the moon but if the Apollo 11 Armstrong mission was faked for political reasons" Yes, the Americans did get beaten to many of the firsts in the space race by the Russians but as it has already been said, there was so much scrutiny by both sides on what the other was doing that if any of it was faked, the other side would have noticed. With regards to the Apollo 11 mission, NASA would still have had to send up a rocket and fly a craft to the moon AND film an elaborate hoax film (incidentally, don't you think if it was a hoax they would have fixed all the so-called lighting issues etc) AND broadcast that film from the moon at the appropriate time AND bring back the spacecraft to earth. It would have cost twice as much as doing it for real and would be just as difficult.

"The mary celeste would be an interesting one sorry if its been mentioned" If I remember correctly it was carrying a combustible cargo, and it is thought that when the crew found vapors in the hold they open the hatchets to vent them and evacuated the ship, got into the lifeboat tethered to the Marie Celest, but the rope broke during a storm. And the ship sailed away into history. N

As for the lighting, well that's what I do for work so I know full well that back then lighting techniques were way more limited in terms of equipment and knowledge and I can spot dozens of major lighting fuckups in big budget films up to the early 90s, as the method was to light for the camera and not the environment. Even Kubrik, who is reputed to have shot the moon landing footage had his faults. Look for moon landing hoax- conspiracy theory on YouTube (uploaded by Ravi Shankar in 5 parts). I'm not saying the theory is right or wrong, it just raises many valid points which NASA seem to respond to with "piss off, we went, now go away as we can't be bothered to disprove your theories" not the most scientific response

The moon landing probably rates as their most significant achievement and if they can prove beyond doubt it's genuine what's stopping them?

I don't think that "piss off" is the official press release. There are a million and one videos on you tube either claiming or debunking the various conspiracies and giving different interpretations and opinions on the evidence so if people have the time or inclination to watch them all they can make up their own mind on the subject. As for me, I'm a scientist. I know we went to the moon.
