What are you like when it comes to making a decision about something?

Are there certain things you easily decide on and others you give a bit more thought to?

Do you ever ask for opinions when it comes to bigger decisions?

Terrible. As you know. I get to the point where I have to make so many big decisions I get some type of decision fatigue where I then become incapable of even making small ones.

Being asked where I want to go for dinner can bring me to tears if I’m stressed enough

Decisions are easy. The only time they are difficult is if the stakes are too high and then I try to find a way around that. I rarely ask advice and for a very good reason but i've been known to ask for advice if I believe your advice will sway things my way.

Decisions are pretty easy

I'm horribly indecisive, I really struggle and put off making decisions until I really need to. Even picking what I want to eat off a menu is hard work 😅

I make a decision early and stick to it. Be it wrong or right. The indecisiveness will cost ya more in the long wrong in my opinion

Very decisive, sometimes hastily so, but in a lot of cases a bad decision taken firmly is better than indecision.

I'd always seek advice for a life changing decision although not always from those closest to me as they can lack objectivity.

I do know but also because it's you I don't notice it as much? Like when it comes to planning - I love that kind of thing so our friendship works. But now you mention it? Yeah.

Do you ever want to be more decisive?

This is such an open question, it surely has to depend on what decisions that need to be made, who will it affect, what are the pros and cons and ultimately will it change your life for the better, I've found that the best decisions are the ones where you start over again regardless to the effort that was put in, got all deep there sorry.

I hope you don't mind me focusing on this part in particular but I didn't realise other people did this. I've done that before. Kind of confirmation.

That is a common theme with the people in my life! 😂

My love language is definitely acts of service so someone who is decisive and can swoop in to lighten the load for me is doing me a huge service and I’m forever grateful for those people. I also admire that quality. Obviously that only works with small decisions, big ones I need to stand on my own two feet. I don’t often ask people for advice as I never take it. I wish I was better at taking advice. And yes. I do wish I could be more decisive and less passive. Mostly because I feel I take more than I give in that respect and I would love to surprise people and be like ‘right we’re gonnna do this, this and this- don’t worry I’ve sorted it’ and let them be a passenger princess for a day

Decisions for myself are all over the place. Like my car broke down, the repair was 400 quid. So I was ready to trade the car in and finance another one for 300pm until my mate talked me round. But if I make a decision based around others I'll stick to it. It's wierd

I made the mistake yesterday of asking for someone's opinion on a pair of glasses I were going to buy. Their feedback cost me an extra £60

Oh that's true! Yeah, people close to don't really have that objectivity. Sometimes they can but it can be hard to look at things without any bias.

I'm sometimes too laid back and let decisions make themselves; 'what will be will be, the universe will decide' kinda thing. But if it's something in my interest/that I will benefit from, then I do make a decision that'll help that along.

Terribly indecisive. I can't even decide what's for tea, any given day. I can be ridiculously impulsive too though... I'm just a bag of pick & mix tbh! 🤷‍♀️

I'll probably ask for opinions, just to see if mine is valid. I will still go with my gut, for the most part.

We are terribly indecisive I'm probably worse than my husband..

What we tend to do now tho unless it's a very serious decision ofc is we just toss a coin.. That way if it ends up to be a wrong decision we can blame the coin ..

I ask myself if I need to make a decision before I decide and if deciding before I need to is worthwhile.

I think the desire to make decisions is often linked to control in an uncertain world.

I usually have very little making an issue when I need to or the moment feels right.

I think spontaneity is the kind of decisiveness, I appreciate the most.

Decisions, really easy.

Outcomes, not always so easy.

I remember my teacher in junior school saying "there is never a bad decision, just a bad outcome"

We all just shrugged.

She was correct, the worse thing you can do is stop making a decision.

I kind of jump in and make decisions on small things quickly.

I dont dwell on them .

But I have had a few big decisions to make recently and was slow to decide but definitely made the right choice in the end.

When others feeling are involved it can be harder to decide.

But at times you need to bite the bullet and follow you or heart.

I have never had an issue making decisions because I'd always rather do something than drift. I may think about things and try to make informed decisions, but I won't be paralysed by indecision.

One of my closest friends is the same, and it's a blessing to have her in my life. Instead of "shall we go for dinner" her messages will be "I want to go out for sushi or pho, do you fancy either?".

With big decisions I usually know what I want to do. I joke that I quit my last job because a magic 8 ball told me to, but I knew I was quitting my job and the 8 ball confirmed it. Had its advice been negative I'd have still quit the next day, because I know what makes me happy and that job wasn't it.
