I made pancakes for the first time ever yesterday. First four went straight in the bin. Next three looked vaguely ok. If you squinted. The final three got a “They are actually not too bad” from the kids. I will take that as a win.

I only remembered in Asda yesterday afternoon.

It's becoming a family tradition that you never "complete" the celebrations on the same day.

We do crackers with boxing day dinner.

Never have birthday cake on the actual day.

There's been Easters where I haven't had a single bit of chocolate on the Sunday.

So putting pancakes off until Saturday would be pretty normal.
