Apparently studies show we should double our 5 a day. What would you choose for your 10. The advice is should also be different ones, not lots of the same but will allow 2 of the same on here

Mine today were

Brocolli, carrots, spinach, sweetcorn, blueberies (3 heaped tbsp of each), apple (1), tangerine (2), cucumber (over 5cm), tomatoes (7 cherry), dried apricots (30g) blueberies.

I am just experimenting to see how easy it is to do. I did also have two rather large chocolate eclairs btw

Sometimes 5 a day is tricky sometimes it's easy.

There's so much guidance and advice that you have to just make up your own rules

Fresh orange juice. (Breakfast)

A banana. (Morning snack)

Raspberries, strawberries and blueberries. (Dinnertime)

Broccoli, cauliflower, peas, carrots and sprouts. (Teatime)

That's quite a lot to fit in every day!

Potatoes are definitely a vegetable, but due to their high starch level they aren't meant to be counted as part of your five a day

Mine today were

Try 30 a week. Also and don't quote me on this, I think if you had say two different types of carrot then that two veg.

We do pretty well with our fruit and veg. Broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, parsnips, swede, tomatoes, sweet corn, peppers, blue berries, potatoes (do they count?), apples, bananas, oranges, and all kinds of frozen fruits are staples in our house. We’re not vegetarians, but we eat more plants than we do meat. And nuts, we eat a lot of mixed, unsalted nuts… 😁

Knowing uou, I bet you mean chocolate. In any case nuts though can be good for you fon't count just like potatoes as was mentioned above. Nice try lady x

Oh no I love my fruit and eat lots but you also have to consider that some have got quote a lot of sugar in so ot's a balance that is needed. I eat a lot of veg too to make up for it. Mind you recently I seem to just eat a lot, fullstop.

I try to eat raspberries, blueberries+ cherries. In the summer I seem more inclined, but mostly they just rot and get thrown away in the winter. Expensive habit

There is good underlying point in that we don't seem to eat seasonal fruit and veg and some of the unseasonal ones have been stewing in storage for too lonn and tbh some taste rather awful too.

Onion, Kidney Beans, Haricot Beans, Black Beans, Carrots, Banana, Cherries, Apple, Peanuts and Almonds.

Also a few cakes 🤣

I eat alot of veg and fruit each day. Just had yogurt with blueberries, strawberries and pineapple for breakfast, with have tuna pasta for lunch which contains red onion and sweetcorn and for dinner I am having quiche and salad.

Most days for lunch i will have a granola, nectarine, strawberry, red grapefruit, blue berry and apple, mixed with natural yoghurt concoction.

And at least one portion of veg at dinnertime.

More fruit/veg would be a struggle on a daily basis for me

Sounds lovely and yes not always easy especially as for example strawberies you have to have 7 to count in your 5 ( or 10) a day
