All over

I don't do them even if someone else is doing that. I always stay calm which I have been told in the past can be irritating to some. I just don't like shouting, swearing, screaming at one another or anything like that at all. It's just not me

If one has to shout the argument is already lost.

We have teenagers so take your pick!

We do try not to argue though as it doesn't get anyone anywhere and just causes upset, but it's so difficult when they just don't want to listen or take on board anything you have to say.

Parenting...the hardest job in the world.

I'll second exactly all of the above!!!!!

To answer my own question, I genuinely can't remember the last time I really had to raise my voice.

I ask because our neighbours are at it constantly I can't understand why or how people can be so angry all the time?

I was shouted at by my neighbour last Friday

I don't argue back

He wants a reaction

I take great pleasure in not giving him anything approaching one

Not for a long time.

-Probably back when I was a teenager & escalating some disagreement I had with my mum which ended up with me accusing her of inflicting her own insecurities onto me..

-You know, that kind of shit.

A couple of weeks ago with my dad. Quite often the only way to get through to him is by having an argument. I once had to get very, very insistent that he took antibiotics prescribed for an infection and that involved a lot of shouting on both sides.

He took them in the end

I can't even remember. Well over a decade ago, as that's how my ex husband dealt with issues. I always hated it.

Carlisle usually

Probably around the time I was telling Lycan to fuck off last year.

I don't particularly remember getting shouty at any point, but it's definitely a period with a lot more emotional arguments than I usually deal with.

It's rare I raise my voice. I'll usually walk away and calm down for a bit so I can discuss things rationally later rather than let myself get overwhelmed and come off as aggressive 💜

About 6months ago . I dared to park my car outside a neighbours house and he left a note on my windscreen telling me to never park there again. I was fucking fuming at the cheek of it and confronted him he got humiliated in the street in front of other neighbours. I got a round of applause of one neighbour who had also been left a note. The knob had even spray painted his own parking bay outside his house, wasn't there for long after I reported him to the council.

Why didn't you park outside your own house?

When I was 15 at my stepmother.

Day after she packed my brother and my bags 🙄

If I'm angry I tend to just go really quiet and feel infernal rage.

Because I live in a busy street and someone had parked outside my house, there is no allocated parking for anyone so I parked in the only available space.

Step mother’s can be so cruel its heartbreaking, I’m a step mother for 5 years so far and I could never imagine being cruel to a literal child. I am to them what I needed at their age xx

With the last comment I meant to write internal rage but came out a infernal... i guess that works too!!

Yep, stepmothers can be. Mine was only one for 2 months. I never saw her again after that! No idea of she's still alive even x

Don't see the point in arguments, it's a waste of breath gets no one anywhere. If one of the couple is astubborn it's going to be a lost battle from the start lol.

With Mrs DS ? I don't think we've ever really argued. Not in 30+ years. Not the screaming in your face lost all sense of self type arguing, no. Nor sworn at each other either.

.

Bicker sometimes, sure. Usually along the lines of

Her: "It's warm in here, did you turn up the heating?"

Me : "Yes, I am cold".

Her : "Oh ok."

.

If someone said to me, "Can you say something or do something to provoke an argument?", my reply would be, "I can't think of anything that would actually do that !"

.

We are both very chilled folks, I guess.
