Hi odd one here , had a user contact , normal chat . He then asked for a face pic. No prob as up until that point no red flags.

As soon as I sent it he states he went school with me and he knows my mother , he names me and her then. Before I could report him he blocked me . Not sure if I am allowed to say his username. If perhaps Admin could assist.

Why is this an admin issue? You have come across someone who knows you in real life and they proved that by giving you facts and then they blocked you. It’s a bit crude of them but they haven’t done anything wrong have they? Block them and move on is what I would say.

Do NOT name and shame anyone.

It's against the site rules and there would be consequences for you.

It's NOT against the site rules for someone to know you, so the other person will be okay.

There is a link to admin help. It's not a forum issue to be fair on admin.

Erm you want to report him for blocking you once he realised you and him are known to each other

personally I think he did the correct thing, might have been better to explain it to you but definitely not responsible to report

It's a shame he didn't tell you who he is and reassure you that he had no ulterior motives but as far as I can see he hasn't broken any site rules.

If you feel you need to report this or anything else there's a report button on messages and profiles.

It wasn't the recognising me that bothered me. It was naming my mother which I do think is odd and other oddities in the messages that I will share with admin that perturbed me.
