For those who frequently attend the gym; how's the training programme going?

Pretty good. I've switched up my program recently and noticed good improvements in certain lifts. I still think I need to bite the bullet and go on a proper bulk to then cut after but I'm just putting off 😅

It was going amazing - had managed to increase upper body weights and am now also 'hanging' for 3 x 15 seconds 😳😳

But I've missed 2 weeks through illness, so will be interesting to see if I need to reset.

Next Door

Mines is going really well, still doing rehab stuff.

Finding certain exercises a lot easier now. The past 6wks my body has started working better, lifting heavier than before my illness.

Im loving seeing my body changing shape.

Routine being changed to adapt to accommodate.

"For those who frequently attend the gym; how's the training programme going?"

Kinda went backwards a bit. But working on better form and better nutrition and more protein and started noticing the stubborn fat slowly melting away

Changed my routine to be more core focused.

Was gaining way too much on shoulders / arms.

Legs are fine, just need to keep at it.

I think my eyesight has improved tho, can spot the eyecandy earlier

I am thoroughly enjoying strength exercises, the incremental progression towards more advanced moves is super exciting for me.

I am training for a marathon in April, my first event since ACL and meniscus surgery 18 months ago. My knee is doing so well, I'm so happy with it.

My other leg had a very long standing hamstring injury, which resulted in me having to walk/run the last 16 miles of a marathon. My recent gym routine has been extremely beneficial by significantly reducing the discomfort with it. I managed a 16 miles run on Saturday with zero pain - woohoo 🙌

I am looking forward to popping to the gym today.

It's going OK. I generally train for health these days as opposed to size or strength. I find the mental and health benefits are what keep me going back. It's something I've done since 16 years old.

Well… …Christmas is the time of year I usually pig out & indulge. But when I attempted to get back to my routine I got sick…on three separate occasions.

I’ve only now just got my strength back

Very good so far hitting my targets and still enjoying my self after 8 months.

Each body area work better now for time and effort.

Am up to 110kg in body weight and feeling good.

Been concentrating on improving my form on lifts and exercises, only to then throw the tracking out on my knee. So now having to retrack it with individual leg extensions.

Then to top it all off I was distracted on incline bench, over balanced my shoulder and tweaked the tendons, just getting back to normal now thanks to herbal remedies recommended by my trainer.

I do sometimes wonder why I train when I keep injuring myself 🫣🫣😂😂

Alicante, Spain. (Sometimes in Wales)

I live in a different country to my parents and my dad is quite unwell now. That means lots of trips to visit/help out and it playing bollocks with my routine for training.

But mostly, still good!

So far so good, last month weigh in I had put on 700 grams of weight due to illness and antibiotics. But weigh in again next month and hoping I’ve broken into the 128kg range.

Upped all my weights now for progression and starting to see a lot of improvements.

So I’ve had a trainer on here tell me that I’m doing things wrong by private message, also that I’m high body fat too, but I’m happy with my training regime and know I’m never going to win Mr universe so sod it.

Another good session yesterday on legs, back and arms, with a Sauna tonight to help ease the aches before chest, shoulders, arms and a bit of self defence exercise tomorrow.

Don't listen to other people do what's right for you. We all start somewhere and a high BMI is not the end of the world, keep doing what you're doing proper form is better than ego lifting with bad form

New training block started this week. It's difficult and necessary.

It's not. Started training for a full distance triathlon again so with swimming/cycling and running I barely get 2 weights sessions a week. Shame as my quads are getting smaller

somewhere close

I train for pleasure these days as I love the gym and love bike riding I ride a range of different bikes MTB, Hybrid, Gravel & Road bikes.

Gym wise back up to 100kg incline barbell for reps have always got a 200kg deadlift in me squats don’t really bother anymore had a DVT a few year back so sort of only do them now and again but use the hack squat and pendulum squats instead.

Trying a new system of weights every other day (Lower/Upper alternating) with conditioning/cardio/rest day on the "off" days as and when

Got some tendonitis in my elbow at the moment which is dogging me so that's annoying, but it is what it is
