Owen Paul: - Your my Favorite Waste of Time.

I f***ing hate that song and won't listen to it. Back in the 80's it always seemed to be on the jukebox and people repeatedly playing it.

Any girl I was dating at the time, and it got played in the pub, I used tell her that your not my favorite waste of time. If you was to tell a girl that she is your favorite waste of time, you would either get a snack across your chops, your pint slung in your face followed by her walking out on you and chances are, you won't get your hole that night, or the next.

It must be the stupidest song written, there is nothing in my life that is a waste of time, simply because if it was, I bloody well wouldn't be doing it and I'd be doing something else.

I also despise the song by Take That: - Back for Good and I turn it off. Its release coincided with my Father dying. For years if I ever heard it, I would have to get out of the pub or wherever it was played as fast as I could and find somewhere quiet to console myself and wipe the tears away.

These days, it still hurts and brings a tear to my eye making me think of my Father and wishing he was still here.

Not a negative about the song but ........

The Drugs Don't Work by The Verve

Even without words that tune reaches my soul and rips it up .... it's agony, blissful agony.

I'd give it time to listen to but during a busy day I cannot afford it the time and indulgence - so I turn it off.

It's a genius piece of music. A total mood changer.
