Despite all the delights of French food, I crave a good English sausage from time to time. Pork and Apple being a fave. What's your go to sausage munch?

I like ones that are meaty, girthy with juicy goodness oozing from it and deliciously satisfying

Not have it that frequently but only ever go for good quality sausage. Recently had a yorkshire one. Rather excellent.

Love a good quality meaty sausage. Don't like cheap ones that are mushy and fake.

Boerewors

On a braai (bbq) and then put on a bread roll with Mrs. Balls Chutney, trust me.

Couldn't agree more, a cheap sausage just falls apart as soon as you put it to your lips

I'm trying to be "socially vegetarian", like I'll eat meat at home but take the veggie option in cafe's or on dates.

Vegan sausages are actually very nice. I bought a pack of Quorn sausages on the back of a few veggie fried breakfasts.

Lathered in Ketchup, vegan sausages are quite passable

"Cumberland with onion gravy"

Yes, me too. Real Cumberland sausage is hard to find outside the Lakes so I always stock up with a few kilos on my way back from Scotland.

A Black Pudding sausage would go down quite well right now.

In France, what about Touloue sausages? Or merguez. Both brilliant sausages.

At home a high meat content Cumberland is the order of the day

Do like both but fairly uniform flavour wise.
