Main tip for the short term help her more than you can. You can't do to much let her sleep as much as possible, Cook what ever she wants but Google tasty nutrition. So Chicken or Fish lots of veg and fruit.

Tell her how much you love her and the gift she has given you.

Then breath and think

HAPPY WIFE HAPPY LIFE.

My advice is a little contradictory. It's don't always listen to peoples advice 😅

Seriously, people will give you parenting advice whether you ask them for it or not, from professionals to strangers - Remember you don't have to listen to them all and you can forge your own parenting path that feels right for you all.

Congratulations!! and RIP to your social life.

Congratulations!

You'll receive a lot of advice from all quarters, mum will receive a lot of criticism from people who think they know better. Ignore all the criticism and cherry pick the advice.

The milestone competition is ruthless. There's always someone whose darling was walking at three months, potty trained at six months and bilingual while solving quadratic equations at nine months. Ignore all that too.

Enjoy your son

Wholeheartedly agree. The health visitor who walked into our chaotic house, stepped over toys and past washing drying on radiators to see our two year old on the sofa holding their new born sibling and looked at me, smiled and said "fantastic mother" gave me more of a lift than any advice she could have given

Thanks for all the advice 🙏 I have started writing notes to help me with not forgetting along with a list of things I think i need to get or been advised I've covered the basics cot and pram etc..I am a tad bit nervous/scared underneath all the excitement as me and mum ain't together no more but we are very much good friends and I've been reassuring her that I'm there for her and our baby boy and il provide and protect them both for as long as I'm alive. Anyone been in the situation before? Having a baby bit not in a relationship with the mum?

Congratulations, OP. If I were you, I would either leave Fab or at least hide profile and concentrate on your new family. Even if you and the mother of your child are not together/have open relationship etc.

Congrats mate

My advice would be make the most of every minute of time with the bairn, believe me it goes over in blink of an eye and it’s time you will never get back, I’d literally give anything to be able to live in the time period that my kids were young forever

Congratulations op

Embrace the times and build memories until it's to late as once they grow up you wish you could just have that feeling again which they sadly grow out of

Create a memory box so when he/she grows up and see. So photo and videos and voice

My nephew didn't know who he was 🤣😂
