It could be guilt, it could be an sense of "why my son?!", or maybe she's concerned that his diagnosis may hinder his life rather than enrich it. I work with children on the spectrum and often see, especially during the earlier years following diagnoses, parents that have polar opposite approaches. Like everything, people cope differently. Could you have a meeting with the appropriate staff members at his school? Sending hugs | |||
