Absolutely.

I heard when he got signed to motown as a kid, part of the deal was he had to sit in with other motown recording sessions. (So that got him really accomplished on his instruments.)

Have a watch / listen to 'fragile - stevie wonder and sting.'

Saw him at the NEC in Birmingham in the early 80’s when I went to a lot of gigs. A memorable performance and such great energy around the whole venue.
