"Do you have to have specific brands of certain products or are you not arsed?

absolutely not....I like what I like and I know what I like.

I will try something I see advertised on tv if I like the look of it and then make up my mind from there but labels have no interest for me...

I do like to feel I am paying a fair price for what I am getting but that doesn't mean I will compromise on quality over cost.

Nope. I have friends that will pay 100+ for a pair of jeans. Sod that. You're simply paying for a little tag on the product.

I buy something I like the look/fit of. I won't look at a top and think "it's Hugo boss, I want this". More like "it's pricey and what am I paying for?

I won't either..but it is because I prefer the taste. I won't drink pepsi because I hate the taste...I would rather go without...

I do for things like ketchup and other condiments, drinks and sweets too. We only use Ariel or Fairy in the washing machine (again because of sensitive skins)

My daughter annoyingly likes some of the 'own brands' so my cupboards have a mix.

We use simple's soap and creams; however my other daughter can only use asda's plain moisturiser.

Shoes, well it depends on how pretty they are, not what label they have, and the same holds true for my outfits

not a brand whore as such, but i do tend to go for certain brands when clothes shopping, not for the brand itself, but because my measurements are not as you would say "standard", i just find certain brands fit me better, im 6' and only 13 stone and have to buy xl or xxl in most clothes because im such a deceiving shape

Not a brand whore in that everything has to be from a brand but I will buy from some brands over others if I know and trust them and feel I'm getting better value - mainly with electrical items though so not exciting brands!!

I find that because of my build I have to buy some of the lower end US designer brands like Polo, Timberland and to a lesser degree Hilfiger as they offer me a comfy fit.

Designer brands don't generally offer suitable cuts for my build.

I have to buy all my trousers and jeans from M&S as they do the fat belly / short leg combo better than anyone else.

If I buy RL/Hilfiger jeans even the standard length pants have to be cut off at the knees to fit my leg length and that can ruin how they fall and hence look.

I do however dress for my build and if I found clothes at either the top or bottom end of the price range, I would have no hesitation in buying them.

Price and value are not my prime motivators in buying clothes, fit, look and comfort are.

As for groceries, I tend to buy what's on offer or what I fancy.

Sometimes it is the good stuff, sometimes it's the value range.

I like it but it leaves a funny residue in the last gulp

Carte Noire espresso makes a lovely cuppa and is usually on offer as I think a lot of people assume you can only make espresso with it and thus leave it on the shelf in favour of standard Carte Noire

When I was bigger I used to buy some of the cheaper brands like Ralph Lauren, hillfiger etc but I've lost a lot of weight in the last 2 yours and now I can get into some really nice designer stuff the Italians don't do big

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

My grandma always used to say, 'Cut your cloth according to your means'. I think trying to keep up with buying designer stuff when you really can't afford it just doesn't make good financial sense, especially these days.

Whilst I like quality, I will not buy beyond my budget. Though occasionally I will splash out on something. So I look for sales and use places like TK Maxx or buy deals off Amazon, Ebay, etc.

Herts

Not really... Most of my clothes and shoes tend to be from New Look but that's more because they're good quality, last for ages and, in quite a few cases, are actually cheaper than Primark.

Only other things that spring to mind are beans HAVE to be Branston or I won't eat them and apples have to be Pink Ladies.
