Always regret missing out on Nirvana.

I did see Soundgarden supporting GnR with Faith No More.

Soundgarden and FNM destroyed Guns n Roses - who were tedious beyond belief.

Would have loved to have seen the early Cardiacs line ups too.

But overall, I think I’ve done pretty well. I just wish everyone would stop dying,

I saw someone mention Layne, there practically nobody left from the grunge period. It’s amazing we still have Dylan Carlson (who is lovely)

True enough - weird to think Pearl Jam might not exist had Andrew Wood from Mother lovebone not died.

Temple of the Dog (a tribute to him) is a belting album. Sure you know all that! Apologies.

Saw Chris with Soundgarden and solo a few times in Dublin thankfully. Amazing voice.

Of the grunge gang I have to say my favourite experience was seeing Eddie Vedder solo gig encore when Glen Hansard (who'd played support) joined him for 3 or 4 songs. I was ecstatic seeing 2 of my favourite singers together, having said at least 10yrs previously that I thought they'd be really good mates and make a great duo🤘🤘

Missed out on I regret:

Led Zeppelin

Thin Lizzy

AC/DC with Bon

Motorhead

Kyuss

Deep Purple (OG)

Whitesnake before the were americanised.

Luckily I've seen PJ, AC/DC, Metallica, The Frames, GnR, The Black Crowes, The Pogues, Mick Flannery, Gemma Hayes, the Rolling Stones, Steve Earle, Accept, Iron Maiden, U2, Simple Minds, Florence & The Machine, Megadeth and countless others in their prime so I can't be bitter.

Slightly deaf perhaps but happily so 🤘🤘🤘

Absolutely. If you’ve not heard/read it, check out Mark Lanegan’s book Sing Backwards and Weep. That guy had a life (and was really lovely)

It’s very weird seeing all the 90s stuff being back in at the moment - it really doesn’t feel that long ago.

I’ve been so lucky to see so many amazing bands.

Here’s a question ( maybe a new thread needed) -,who would you want to see now, of the more new bands/artists?

REN is probably top of my list.

And I want to see the latest incarnation of Mclusky.

I saw Kyuss play the Princess Charlotte in Leicester the night Kurt Cobain died.

The levels of bass were so strong you had to keep moving to stop from shitting yourself.

Cracking gig.
