Hi, why do you lose your verifications when someone who's verified you leaves the site? I had 2 great verifications from people iv met they have left the site now, and so have my verifications? Can anyone help with this, as I don't tend to take people seriously if they aren't verified

Once they're gone so are any written verifications.

Unfortunately that's just part of the site.

If people leave they leave for a reason and it's easier to remove all traces of them.

Just gotta make new friends and get new veris

They still show on your summary of veris ?

But people can't see them , so it's only the same as not displaying them ?

Happened to take a screen shot of my summary yesterday.. I'm finding mine are going down as the years pass, so thought it best to at least have something to show I was at some point.

Ahh so the summary is right? I was looking at my veris and there were barely any

Most people follow the verification trail rather than rely solely on the verification itself.

If someone leaves the site and the verification remained it would show as an anonymous verification from a user no longer on site and would therefore be pointless.

At least a dozen of my verifications have left and I'm happy their verifications have also gone because I've no intention of displaying a load of blank verifications.

Also op, your last verification is from 7 years ago and many want to see recent verifications so people leaving is unlikely to have any impact.

My summary says last verified 10ys ago... I'm pretty sure I have met since then, so does people leaving affect the summary?

No it doesn't. If you have met in the last 10 years then you haven't received a verification.

If someone chooses to leave the site then all trace of them goes.

Their profile and photos.

Their forum comments are still there but show as UNLOS.

And all veris they left disappear. The summary count will always remain, as will the date of the last verification, but the veri content is gone forever.

this! A verification from 7 years ago means absolutely nothing to me.

Particularly when it's the newest one. A lot can happen in 7 years!

Just how it is, happens to everyone, tbh once you've got a few veris it doesn't matter, as long as people know you're not a psycho, and loads of veris is a turn off, I don't worry about veris half the time, that way no-one knows you're a total man whore 😂🥪

It is a bit odd.. as much as I was seeing the same people up to 2020 (ish), I thought I'd seen others too. Might have just been they didn't leave a veri

It's a bit unfair on someone who is trying to make a fresh start when they delete their profile, but verifications remain
