"I maybe open 1 envelope per month and havent sent one in probly 20 yrs" Have you seen the price of stamps these days? I was absolutely shocked how much a first class one is now. I can remember when 1st class was about 25p. Ahhh….those were the days. I could buy two first class stamps and two envelopes and still have enough change to dial a random long distance number in a phone box (which smelt of urine) before going back outside and playing a jolly game of ‘Spot the white dog shit’. I miss those days ☹️ | |||

"Never lick an envelope is my advice " Amen! I heard a highly disquieting story once that involved someone licking an envelope and inadvertently cutting their tongue on it…. A few weeks later the person’s tongue began to swell, necessitating a visit to the doctors whereupon it was discovered that the wound was in fact full of grubs(!!!) - the eggs of which were ostensibly in the adhesive on the envelope 😱😱 (The whole story could be an urban myth but even so….it is rather unnerving!) | |||
