I totally agree with you in principle, but the reality is they actually don’t have to do any better, ladies can put a blank profile up, no verifications, make zero effort and still get 100’s of desperate men wanting to meet them.

And it’s men to blame for this. The problem isn’t the ladies on here it’s a lot of the men that are enable.
